SUMMARY:
EF1 TORNADO TOUCHED DOWN ON DALE HOLLOW LAKE SOUTH OF BYRDSTOWN
THEN MOVED SOUTHEAST ACROSS FAR SOUTHERN PICKETT COUNTY. THE
TORNADO CONTINUED SOUTHEAST ACROSS WESTERN FENTRESS COUNTY
CROSSING HIGHWAY 52 AND MANSON ROAD BEFORE LIFTING NEAR BOATLAND
ROAD SOUTHWEST OF JAMESTOWN. ONE HOME SUFFERED MAJOR DAMAGE NORTH
OF HIGHWAY 52 AND A NEARBY MOBILE HOME HAD MINOR DAMAGE. POWER
POLES AND POWER LINES WERE KNOCKED DOWN ON HIGHWAY 52. HUNDREDS OF
TREES WERE BLOWN DOWN ALONG THE PATH WITH SEVERAL ROADWAYS
COMPLETELY BLOCKED INCLUDING HIGHWAY 52...MANSON ROAD...AND
BOATLAND ROAD.

SUMMARY:
EF1 TORNADO TOUCHED DOWN NEAR DOUBLE SPRINGS ROAD AND NASHVILLE
HIGHWAY THEN MOVED SOUTHEAST BEFORE LIFTING NEAR I-40 AND PARK
WEST DRIVE. 12 TO 15 HOMES AND 1 BUSINESS WERE DAMAGED AND
SEVERAL OUTBUILDINGS WERE DAMAGED OR DESTROYED. NUMEROUS TREES
AND POWER LINES WERE BLOWN DOWN INCLUDING ONTO THE RAILROAD
TRACKS NEAR DOUBLE SPRINGS ROAD.
