A 1060 MILLIBAR HIGH PRESSURE CENTERED OVER WESTERN CANADA WILL
DRIVE ARCTIC AIR SOUTHEASTWARD AND OVERSPREAD A LARGE PART OF THE
CONTINENTAL UNITED STATES AS WE GO THROUGH THE WORK WEEK INTO
SATURDAY. THIS MEANS A LONG PERIOD OF SUBFREEZING TEMPERATURES FOR
MIDDLE TENNESSEE. IN FACT...THE FORECAST CALLS FOR TEMPERATURES TO
NOT RISE ABOVE FREEZING UNTIL SUNDAY. THIS MEANS 4 DAYS OF
SUBFREEZING TEMPERATURES. THE LAST TIME THAT NASHVILLE HAD A
STRETCH OF SUBFREEZING TEMPERATURES THAT LASTED 4 DAYS WAS BACK IN
