CUMBERLAND PLATEAU...
A COLD FRONT WILL CONTINUE TO WORK ACROSS THE MID STATE TONIGHT.
MEANWHILE...AN UPPER LEVEL SHORTWAVE WILL DIG ACROSS THE MID
STATE OVERNIGHT. WITH THE DEEPEST MOISTURE STILL IN PLACE ACROSS
EASTERN PORTIONS OF THE MID STATE...SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF AROUND AN
INCH ARE STILL POSSIBLE FOR THE NORTHERN AND CENTRAL PLATEAU
OVERNIGHT. FOR THAT REASON...A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IS IN
EFFECT FOR THE COUNTIES OF PICKET...OVERTON...FENTRESS...PUTNAM
AND CUMBERLAND UNTIL 6 AM CST.
ELSEWHERE...A CHANCE OF LIGHT RAIN AND LIGHT SNOW IS IN THE
FORECAST MAINLY BEFORE MIDNIGHT. THOUGH ONLY VERY LIGHT SNOWFALL
IS POSSIBLE...AND LITTLE IF ANY ACCUMULATION IS EXPECTED...SUB
FREEZING TEMPERATURES WILL QUICKLY RETURN TO THE AREA OVERNIGHT.
TEMPERATURES BY MORNING WILL FALL TO THE 18 TO 23 DEGREE RANGE
AREA WIDE. FOR THAT REASON...ANY RESIDUAL MOISTURE ON THE ROADWAYS
WILL FREEZE AND CREATE SLICK SPOTS ON SOME ROADWAYS SURFACES.
PLEASE EXERCISE CAUTION WHILE DRIVING ON AREA ROADWAYS TONIGHT.
