...THE METEOROLOGICAL WINTER OF 2012 AND 2013 WAS THE 16TH WARMEST
ON RECORD IN NASHVILLE.
THE WINTER OVERALL AVERAGED 4.0 DEGREES ABOVE THE 30 YEAR NORMAL
OF 39.9 DEGREES.
DECEMBER 2012 WAS ESPECIALLY MILD WITH THE TEMPERATURE AVERAGING
6.8 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL. JANUARY WAS VERY MILD AT 4.3 DEGREES
ABOVE NORMAL...WHILE FEBRUARY ENDED 0.7 DEGREE ABOVE NORMAL.
THE COLDEST TEMPERATURE DURING THE WINTER WAS 17 DEGREES WHICH
OCCURRED ON FEBRUARY 1ST.
SNOWFALL WAS LACKING ONCE AGAIN...WITH ONLY 1.3 INCHES BEING MEASURED
AT THE NASHVILLE AIRPORT. THERE WAS A TRACE IN DECEMBER... WITH
0.3 INCH IN JANUARY...AND 0.7 INCH IN FEBRUARY. NORMAL WINTER
SNOWFALL IN NASHVILLE IS 8.5 INCHES.
RAINFALL TOTALED 14.43 INCHES WHICH IS 2.50 INCHES ABOVE NORMAL.

FEBRUARY 2.58 INCHES -1.36
ITS INTERESTING TO NOTE THAT THE LAST TWO WINTERS HAVE FAILED TO
SEE TEMPERATURES COLDER THAN 17 DEGREES IN NASHVILLE. THE COLDEST
TEMPERATURE DURING THE WINTER OF 2011 AND 2012 WAS ONLY 18 DEGREES.
SNOWFALL WAS ALSO LACKING...WITH ONLY 0.4 INCH.
