A COLD FRONT WILL BRING RAIN AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS TO MIDDLE
TENNESSEE ON TUESDAY. MUCH COLDER AIR RUSHING IN BEHIND THE
FRONT WILL CHANGE THE RAIN OVER TO LIGHT SNOW TUESDAY NIGHT. THE
SNOW WILL CONTINUE INTO WEDNESDAY MORNING.
LIGHT SNOW ACCUMULATIONS APPEAR LIKELY TUESDAY NIGHT AND WEDNESDAY
MORNING, MAINLY ALONG AND EAST OF A LINE FROM LAFAYETTE, TO
SMITHVILLE, TO ALTAMONT. SNOW AMOUNTS UP TO 1 INCH ARE ANTICIPATED
ON THE UPPER PLATEAU BY WEDNESDAY MORNING, WITH ONE-HALF INCH OF
SNOW OR LESS EXPECTED ELSEWHERE. ADDITIONAL SNOW IS EXPECTED ON
WEDNESDAY MORNING THAT MAY WARRANT A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY.
LOCALLY HIGHER SNOWFALL AMOUNTS ARE POSSIBLE IN THE TYPICALLY SNOW
PRONE AREAS SUCH AS MONTEREY AND JAMESTOWN.
STAY TUNED TO NOAA WEATHER RADIO OR YOUR LOCAL MEDIA FOR LATER
UPDATES ON THIS SITUATION, AS TRAVEL MAY BECOME HAZARDOUS DUE TO
