A COLD FRONT IS EXPECTED TO BRING WIDESPREAD RAIN AND A FEW
THUNDERSTORMS TO THE REGION DURING THE DAY ON TUESDAY. MUCH COLDER
AIR FILTERING IN BEHIND THE FRONT WILL CHANGE THE RAIN OVER TO
LIGHT SNOW BY TUESDAY EVENING. LIGHT SNOW WILL THEN CONTINUE
TUESDAY NIGHT INTO WEDNESDAY MORNING BEFORE ENDING BY WEDNESDAY
AFTERNOON.
LIGHT SNOW ACCUMULATIONS APPEAR LIKELY TUESDAY NIGHT AND EARLY
WEDNESDAY ALONG AND EAST OF A LINE FROM LAFAYETTE TO ALTAMONT.
SNOW AMOUNTS AROUND 1 INCH ARE ANTICIPATED ON THE NORTHERN
CUMBERLAND PLATEAU...WITH ONE HALF INCH OF SNOW OR LESS EXPECTED
ELSEWHERE. LOCALLY HIGHER SNOW AMOUNTS ARE POSSIBLE IN THE
TYPICALLY SNOW PRONE AREAS SUCH AS MONTEREY AND JAMESTOWN.
STAY TUNED TO NOAA WEATHER RADIO OR YOUR LOCAL MEDIA FOR THE
LATER UPDATES ON THIS SITUATION...AS TRAVEL MAY BECOME HAZARDOUS
DUE TO SNOW ON TUESDAY NIGHT AND WEDNESDAY.
