...HEAVY RAIN TO MOVE THROUGH MIDDLE TENNESSEE TODAY...
.A LINE OF SHOWERS AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS WILL MOVE THROUGH
THE AREA THIS MORNING...WITH STEADY RAIN LASTING INTO THE
AFTERNOON HOURS. BRIEF RAINFALL RATES OF 2 INCHES PER HOUR WILL
BE COMMON IN THE HEAVIEST SHOWERS...BUT MOST PLACES CAN EXPECT
AMOUNTS OF A QUARTER INCH PER HOUR TO THREE QUARTERS OF AN INCH
PER HOUR. THIS ADDITIONAL RAIN WILL QUICKLY RUN OFF INTO AREA
CREEKS AND STREAMS...AND HIGH FLOWS TO MINOR FLOODING IS POSSIBLE.
TOTAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF ONE TO TWO INCHES CAN BE EXPECTED...WITH
ISOLATED AMOUNTS UP TO THREE INCHES POSSIBLE IN SOME AREAS.

* THIS MUCH RAINFALL WILL LEAD TO RAPID RISES ON SMALLER CREEKS
AND STREAMS...AS WELL AS PRODUCE ISOLATED FLASH FLOODING IN
URBAN AREAS.

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS MAY DEVELOP THAT LEAD
TO FLASH FLOODING. FLASH FLOODING IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.
