...HEAVY RAIN EXPECTED FOR MIDDLE TENNESSEE ON SUNDAY...
.A SURGE OF UNSEASONABLY WARM...MOIST AIR INTO THE OVERNIGHT HOURS
WILL CREATE THE POTENTIAL FOR FLASH FLOODING AS A COLD FRONT MOVES
THROUGH THE MID-STATE ON SUNDAY. WITH THE GROUND NEARLY SATURATED
FROM RECENT RAINFALL...ANY ADDITIONAL RAIN WILL QUICKLY RUN OFF
INTO AREA CREEKS AND STREAMS. INTENSE RAINFALL ASSOCIATED WITH
PASSING THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE WHERE THE GREATEST THREAT OF
FLOODING WILL OCCUR. RAINFALL AMOUNTS WILL TOTAL TWO TO THREE
INCHES ACROSS THE AREA...ESPECIALLY ALONG AND WEST OF I-65.

RAINFALL AMOUNTS WILL TOTAL TWO TO THREE INCHES...WITH LOCALLY
HIGHER AMOUNTS POSSIBLE.
* THIS MUCH RAINFALL WILL LEAD TO RAPID RISES ON SMALLER CREEKS
AND STREAMS...AS WELL AS PRODUCE ISOLATED FLASH FLOODING IN
URBAN AREAS.

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS MAY DEVELOP THAT LEAD
TO FLASH FLOODING. FLASH FLOODING IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.
YOU SHOULD MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION
SHOULD FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS BE ISSUED.
