THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR MIDDLE TENNESSEE.
.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT
A FEW PERIODS OF LIGHT SNOW ARE EXPECTED TO OCCUR THIS
MORNING AND AGAIN TONIGHT. MOST PLACES THAT GET SNOW WILL SEE
ONLY MINOR ACCUMULATIONS...IF ANY. HOWEVER...SINCE TEMPERATURES
DURING THE EARLY MORNING AND NIGHTTIME HOURS WILL LIKELY BE IN THE
UPPER 20S TO LOWER 30S ALONG THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS...IT IS
POSSIBLE THAT SOME OF THAT SNOW COULD MELT AND CREATE ICY PATCHES
ALONG UNTREATED HIGHWAYS.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY...
A MORE SIGNIFICANT ACCUMULATION OF SNOW IS FORECAST ON FRIDAY
AND SATURDAY...WITH MANY AREAS ALONG THE CUMBERLAND PLATEAU LIKELY
TO SEE BETWEEN TWO AND THREE INCHES BEFORE THE SNOW TAPERS OFF
SATURDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING.
.SPOTTER CALL TO ACTION STATEMENT...
SPOTTERS AND LOCAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT OFFICIALS ARE ENCOURAGED
TO REPORT ANY SNOW ACCUMULATIONS TO THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE

THERE WILL BE A CHANCE FOR ACCUMULATING SNOWS FRIDAY AFTERNOON
THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING...MOSTLY NORTH OF THE I40 CORRIDOR AND
ON THE CUMBERLAND PLATEAU. THESE AREAS COULD SEE 1 TO 2 INCHES OF
SNOW WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS. ELSEWHERE...ONE HALF INCH TO AN
INCH WILL BE POSSIBLE. ROADWAYS MAY BECOME SLICK AND HAZARDOUS DUE
TO THE ACCUMULATING SNOWS.
