...DENSE FOG DEVELOPING EARLY THURSDAY MORNING...
SKIES HAVE BEGUN TO CLEAR OUT FOLLOWING LAST NIGHT'S THUNDERSTORMS,
ESPECIALLY IN AREAS TO THE WEST AND NORTH OF NASHVILLE. THE
COMBINATION OF THE WEST GROUND, CLEARING SKIES, AND LIGHT OR CALM
WINDS ARE CREATING CONDITIONS THAT ARE PERFECT FOR DENSE FOG.
REDUCED VISIBILITIES CAN BE EXPECTED TO LAST THROUGH RUSH HOUR,
MAINLY ACROSS NORTHWEST MIDDLE TENNESSEE AND THE HIGHLAND RIM, AS
WELL AS LOW-LYING AREAS AND AROUND BODIES OF WATER. VISIBILITIES
AS LOW AS A QUARTER-MILE ARE POSSIBLE. THIS WILL CREATE HAZARDOUS
DRIVING CONDITIONS, SO MORNING COMMUTERS SHOULD ALLOW EXTRA TIME
AND BE AWARE THAT VISIBILITIES CAN CHANGE RAPIDLY OVER SHORT
DISTANCES. THE FOG SHOULD THIN OUT BY 900 AM.
