DAMAGE NEAR THE GRANT COMMUNITY IN SMITH COUNTY TENNESSEE...
THE SURVEY IS IN RELATION TO THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS THAT MOVED
THROUGH THE AREA ON OCTOBER 1, 2012.
LATEST INFORMATION CONFIRMS TOUCHDOWN OF AN EF0 TORNADO AT THE
GRANT COMMUNITY IN SMITH COUNTY, WITH MAXIMUM WINDS OF 75 MPH.
PATH LENGTH AND WIDTH ARE CURRENTLY BEING DETERMINED.
A FINAL ASSESSMENT INCLUDING RESULTS OF THE SURVEY ARE EXPECTED TO
BE COMPLETED AND TRANSMITTED VIA A PUBLIC INFORMATION STATEMENT BY
600 PM TODAY.
