THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR MIDDLE TENNESSEE.
.DAY ONE...TONIGHT
CLEAR SKIES AND WARM OVERNIGHT TEMPERATURES WILL PERSIST. GIVEN
THAT THE ADJACENT AFTERNOON PERIODS WILL PROVIDE 100 DEGREE PLUS
HEAT LEVELS...IT IS STILL A GOOD IDEA TO STAY WELL
HYDRATED...ESPECIALLY IF ANY OUTDOOR ACTIVITY OCCURRED EARLIER
TODAY OR IS EXPECTED AGAIN ON SATURDAY. DO NOT ALLOW THE OVERNIGHT
COOL DOWN PERIOD TO FOOL YOU. WITH LOWS REMAINING IN THE 70S...THE
RECOVERY FROM THE WIDESPREAD 100+ DEGREE AFTERNOON HEAT IS STILL
COMPROMISED.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY...
RECORD BREAKING HEAT WILL CONTINUE SATURDAY AND SUNDAY WITH
AFTERNOON HIGH TEMPERATURES AT 100+ DEGREES. THE HEAT MAY CAUSE
HEAT RELATED ILLNESSES SUCH AS HEAT EXHAUSTION AND HEAT STROKE.
RESIDENTS SHOULD TRY AND STAY INSIDE AN AIR-CONDITIONED BUILDING
AND STAY WELL HYDRATED. ALSO...THE DRY HOT CONDITIONS WILL CAUSE
AN ELEVATED LEVEL OF FIRE DANGER. RESIDENTS SHOULD NOT ENGAGE IN
OUTSIDE BURNING AND SHOULD ALSO PROPERLY DISPOSE OF SMOKING
MATERIALS. TEMPERATURES WILL BEGIN TO SLOWLY DIMINISH FOR MONDAY
AND BEYOND.
