.NOW...
THROUGH 100 AM...YOU AN EXPECT RAIN...SOME LOCALLY HEAVY...TO
CONTINUE ACROSS MUCH OF THE MID STATE. WHERE THE HEAVIER RAINS
OCCUR YOU CAN EXPECT PONDING OF WATER...ESPECIALLY IN URBAN AND
LOW LYING AREAS. MOTORISTS SHOULD EXERCISE APPROPRIATE CAUTION
WHEN TRAVELING THROUGH HEAVY RAIN.
DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATES INDICATE THAT MUCH OF THE MID STATE HAS
RECEIVED BETWEEN 2 AND 4 INCHES OF RAINFALL OVER THE LAST SEVERAL
DAYS...WITH SOME SPOTS RECEIVING BETWEEN 5 AND 8 INCHES. THE
HEAVIEST RAINFALL IS INDICATED OVER SOUTHWESTERN MIDDLE
TENNESSEE...OVER PARTS OF WAYNE AND LAWRENCEBURG COUNTIES...WHERE
DOPPLER ESTIMATES SHOW BETWEEN 6 AND 8 INCHES OF RAINFALL.
SINCE GROUNDS ARE NOW SATURATED OVER THE MID STATE...ANY
ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAINS WILL QUICKLY CAUSE RUN OFF AND PONDING OF
WATER. BE ADVISED...THAT A FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR SOUTHERN AND
EASTERN PARTS OF THE MID STATE UNTIL 700 AM TUESDAY MORNING. $$
