THE SEVERE WEATHER THREAT FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 269
CONTINUES.
CONVECTION HAS DISSIPATED OVER MUCH OF THE WW ALTHOUGH TWO AREAS OF
CONCERN REMAIN. SEVERAL STRONG/SEVERE STORMS HAVE YET TO MOVE
OFFSHORE ALONG THE SC/NC COAST...BUT THIS ACTIVITY WILL DO SO OVER
THE NEXT HOUR. IN ITS WAKE...CONVECTION WILL STRUGGLE TO DEVELOP
OVER THE CAROLINAS PRIOR TO WATCH EXPIRATION.
THE PRIMARY SEVERE THREAT IS TRANSITIONING TO ERN KY AHEAD OF SWD
SURGING MCS. THIS ACTIVITY IS SPREADING SOUTH AT ROUGHLY 25-30KT
AND THE LEADING EDGE SHOULD APPROACH THE KY/VA/TN BORDER BY 03Z.
LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS CAN BE EXPECTED WITH THIS MCS.
