NORTHEASTERN BENTON COUNTY IN MIDDLE TENNESSEE...
HOUSTON COUNTY IN MIDDLE TENNESSEE...
THIS INCLUDES THE CITY OF ERIN...
NORTHWESTERN HUMPHREYS COUNTY IN MIDDLE TENNESSEE...
MONTGOMERY COUNTY IN MIDDLE TENNESSEE...
THIS INCLUDES THE CITY OF CLARKSVILLE...
STEWART COUNTY IN MIDDLE TENNESSEE...
THIS INCLUDES THE CITY OF DOVER...
* UNTIL 430 AM CDT TUESDAY
* AT 430 AM CDT LEVELS ON PORTIONS OF THE TENNESSEE RIVER
AND CUMBERLAND RIVER CONTINUED RISE.
* WATER BACKING UP ON LAKE BARKLEY AND KENTUCKY LAKE WAS CAUSING
FLOODING ALONG THE TENNESSEE AND CUMBERLAND RIVERS...AND
ADDITIONAL RISES EXPECTED THROUGH THIS WEEKEND WILL CONTINUE
TO CAUSE FLOODING PROBLEMS THIS WEEK.
AT 3 AM SUNDAY...THE CUMBERLAND RIVER LEVEL AT DOVER WAS AROUND
369.6 FEET AND RISING...WITH RIVER LEVELS EXPECTED TO REACH NEAR
372.0 FEET LATE SUNDAY. THE CUMBERLAND RIVER WILL CONTINUE TO RISE
TO NEAR 375.0 TO 376.0 FEET THIS WEEK...AS ADDITIONAL RAINFALL
THROUGH EARLY TUESDAY RUNS OFF INTO AREA CREEKS AND STREAMS.
AT CLARKSVILLE...THE RIVER LEVEL WAS AROUND 39.5 FEET AND FALLING.
THE ANTICIPATED RAINFALL WILL PUSH THE RIVER LEVEL AT CLARKSVILLE
BACK UP TO NEAR 45.0 FEET (375.0 FEET MSL) LATER THIS WEEK...AND
POSSIBLY HIGHER BY THE WEEKEND. FLOOD STAGE IS 46.0 FEET AT
CLARKSVILLE. THESE HIGH RIVER LEVELS WILL CAUSE MINOR TO MODERATE
FLOODING ALONG THE CUMBERLAND RIVER DOWNSTREAM OF CLARKSVILLE...IN
STEWART AND MONTGOMERY COUNTIES.
ON THE TENNESSEE RIVER...MINOR TO MODERATE FLOODING CAN BE EXPECTED
IN BENTON...HUMPHREYS...HOUSTON...AND STEWART COUNTIES ALONG THE
RIVER...AND ON THE TRIBUTARIES FROM THE EXPECTED RAINFALL. THE
TENNESSEE RIVER IN THE NEW JOHNSONVILLE AREA WILL CONTINUE TO RISE
TO NEAR 372.0 FEET BY TUESDAY MORNING...AND EVEN HIGHER TOWARD THE
END OF THE WEEK.

A FLOOD WARNING MEANS FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS IMMINENT. MOST
FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. NEVER DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO
AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. FLOOD WATERS ARE USUALLY
DEEPER THAN THEY APPEAR. WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED ROADS MAKE THE
SMART CHOICE...TURN AROUND...DONT DROWN.
