AFTERNOON AND THURSDAY NIGHT...
A COLD AIR MASS WILL PUSH SOUTHWARD THROUGH THE CENTRAL PLAINS
ON WEDNESDAY ... AND WILL REACH THE MID STATE ON THURSDAY
AFTERNOON. A BAND OF SNOW WILL OCCUR AT THE LEADING EDGE OF THIS
CANADIAN AIR...AND PUSH INTO NORTHWESTERN MIDDLE TENNESSEE
THURSDAY AFTERNOON. TEMPERATURES WILL WARM BRIEFLY INTO THE LOWER
40S THURSDAY MORNING...BUT WILL LIKELY TUMBLE INTO THE UPPER 20S
IN THE CLARKSVILLE AREA BY LATE THURSDAY. SNOWFALL WILL START TO
ACCUMULATE IN NORTHWESTERN AREAS BY EARLY THURSDAY AFTERNOON
...WITH ACCUMULATING SNOWS PUSHING INTO THE NASHVILLE AREA BY
LATE AFTERNOON AND EVENING...AND ACROSS THE REMAINDER OF THE MID
STATE THURSDAY NIGHT. TEMPERATURES WILL TUMBLE INTO THE 20S AREA
WIDE ON THURSDAY NIGHT.
RIGHT NOW...IT LOOKS LIKE ACCUMULATIONS OVER THE MID STATE WILL
AVERAGE BETWEEN ONE AND TWO INCHES...WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS...
ESPECIALLY ALONG THE CUMBERLAND PLATEAU.
IF YOU ARE PLANNING TRAVEL ACROSS THE MID STATE TOMORROW AFTERNOON
AND TOMORROW NIGHT...YOU SHOULD EXPECT TO ENCOUNTER SOME WINTRY
WEATHER. MUCH OF THE SNOW WILL PROBABLY STICK AROUND ON
FRIDAY...SINCE HIGHS ARE ONLY FORECAST TO BE IN THE MID 20S TO
LOWER 30S.
