AT 1036 AM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR WAS TRACKING
A LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM PORTLAND
...TO 5 MILES SOUTH OF LAKEWOOD... TO 9 MILES SOUTHEAST OF
FAIRVIEW.....MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 15 MPH.
THESE STORMS WILL PRODUCE TORRENTIAL DOWNPOURS...WHICH WILL LIKELY
PRODUCE PONDING OF WATER IN LOW LYING AREAS. BECAUSE OF THE
RELATIVELY SLOW MOVEMENT OF THE STORMS...SOME SPOTS COULD PICK UP
BETWEEN ONE HALF AND ONE INCH OF RAIN WITHIN ONLY A MATTER OF
MINUTES. BRIEF WIND GUSTS OF 20 TO 30 MPH ARE ALSO POSSIBLE.
