...SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS POSSIBLE ACROSS MIDDLE TENNESSEE LATE
TONIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY...
A STRONG COLD FRONT IS EXPECTED TO MOVE INTO WESTERN PORTIONS
OF MIDDLE TENNESSEE BY DAYBREAK ON WEDNESDAY. ALONG AND AHEAD OF
THIS COLD FRONT...STRONG SOUTHERLY LOW LEVEL WINDS WILL DEVELOP
AND ATMOSPHERIC INSTABILITY AND MOISTURE POTENTIAL WILL ALSO
INCREASE.
THIS COULD RESULT IN SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOPING LATE
TONIGHT...AND ACROSS THE REMAINDER OF THE MID STATE ON WEDNESDAY.
THIS COLD FRONT IS EXPECTED TO MOVE SOUTH AND EAST ACROSS THE
REMAINDER OF THE MID STATE DURING THE DAY ON WEDNESDAY...WITH
AREAS HAVING THE GREATEST POTENTIAL OF EXPERIENCING SEVERE WEATHER
ACROSS SOUTHERN AND EASTERN PORTIONS OF THE MID STATE. THE MAIN
CONCERNS WITH SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS THAT DO DEVELOP WILL BE
DAMAGING STRAIGHT LINE WINDS AND LARGE HAIL. ISOLATED
TORNADOES WILL ALSO BE POSSIBLE...MAINLY FOR LOCATIONS WEST
OF THE NASHVILLE METROPOLITAN AREA.
HEAVY RAINFALL RESULTING IN PONDING OF WATER ON AREA ROADWAYS
WILL ALSO BE POSSIBLE. TOTAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS WILL RANGE FROM
ONE TO ONE AND ONE HALF INCHES...WITH LOCALLY TWO INCH AMOUNTS
POSSIBLE.
THERE IS STILL SOME UNCERTAINTY CONCERNING EXACT TIMING AND
STRENGTH OF THIS STORM SYSTEM. HOWEVER...RESIDENTS ACROSS MIDDLE
TENNESSEE AND THOSE WHO WILL BE TRAVELING IN AND OUT OF MIDDLE
TENNESSEE LATE TONIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY SHOULD KEEP AWARE OF
THIS POTENTIAL SEVERE WEATHER SITUATION. PLEASE STAY TUNED TO NOAA
WEATHER RADIO AND YOUR LOCAL MEDIA OUTLETS FOR THE LATEST UPDATES
ON THIS POTENTIAL SEVERE WEATHER OUTBREAK ACROSS MIDDLE TENNESSEE
