CONCERNING...SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 94...
VALID 042049Z - 042145Z
THE SEVERE WEATHER THREAT FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 94
CONTINUES.
LEADING EDGE OF LONG-LIVED/FAST-MOVING/EXTENSIVE QLCS EXTENDED FROM
GREENUP COUNTY KY TO FRANKLIN COUNTY TN AS OF 2030Z. 50-70 KT
FORWARD PROPAGATION SUGGESTS THIS LINE WILL APPROACH THE ERN EXTENT
OF WW 94 AROUND 23Z. THIS FORWARD SPEED SHOULD DECREASE SOMEWHAT AS
UPPER-LEVEL FLOW BACKS AND THE LINE OUTRUNS THE RICHER MOIST AXIS
ACROSS MS/WRN AL INTO MIDDLE TN. NEVERTHELESS...THE QUICK MOTION OF
THE QLCS /SUPPORTED BY THE VERY STRONG LOW-LEVEL FLOW/ WILL MAINTAIN
POTENTIAL FOR RELATIVELY WIDESPREAD DAMAGING WINDS. GIVEN THIS AND
THAT GREATEST SURFACE PRESSURE FALLS ARE NOW CENTERED ACROSS ERN
KY/TN...TORNADOES CANNOT BE RULED OUT. HOWEVER...THIS THREAT SHOULD
BE TEMPERED BY LOWER PW VALUES AND RELATIVELY LARGER SURFACE
TEMPERATURE/DEW POINT SPREADS COMPARED TO FARTHER W.
