THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER IN NORMAN OK IS FORECASTING THE
DEVELOPMENT OF WIDESPREAD DAMAGING WINDS OVER PARTS OF THE PARTS OF
THE LOWER MS AND TN VALLEYS THIS AFTERNOON.
THE AREAS MOST LIKELY TO EXPERIENCE THIS ACTIVITY INCLUDE
NORTHWEST ALABAMA
NORTHERN AND CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI
WESTERN AND MIDDLE TENNESSEE
ELSEWHERE...SEVERE STORMS ARE ALSO POSSIBLE FROM THE LOWER OH VALLEY
SOUTHWESTWARD TO THE GULF COAST.
AN EXTENSIVE LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS IS EXPECTED ALONG A COLD FRONT
THIS AFTERNOON FROM OHIO SOUTHWESTWARD ACROSS
KENTUCKY...TENNESSEE...MISSISSIPPI...ALABAMA...AND LOUISIANA. THE
MOST INTENSE PART OF THE LINE WILL CROSS
TENNESSEE...MISSISSIPPI...AND NORTHWEST ALABAMA. WIDESPREAD
DAMAGING WINDS ARE THE MAIN THREAT...THOUGH A FEW TORNADOES WILL
ALSO BE POSSIBLE WITH STORMS EMBEDDED IN THE LINE.
STATE AND LOCAL EMERGENCY MANAGERS ARE MONITORING THIS DEVELOPING
SITUATION. THOSE IN THE THREATENED AREA ARE URGED TO REVIEW SEVERE
