THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR MIDDLE TENNESSEE.
.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...
A SIGNIFICANT SEVERE WEATHER OUTBREAK IS POSSIBLE IN MIDDLE TENNESSEE
TODAY AND EARLY TONIGHT.
THERE IS A MODERATE RISK OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS FOR WESTERN MIDDLE
TENNESSEE...MAINLY THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING...FROM THE INTERSTATE
65 CORRIDOR WESTWARD TO THE TENNESSEE RIVER. THIS INCLUDES THE
NASHVILLE METRO AREA. THERE IS A SLIGHT RISK FOR SEVERE STORMS
OVER EASTERN PARTS OF THE MID STATE.
THE SEVERE STORMS ARE EXPECTED TO PRODUCE DAMAGING STRAIGHT LINE
WINDS...LARGE HAIL...AND POSSIBLY ISOLATED TORNADOES. IN ADDITION...
HEAVY RAINFALL MAY CREATE LOCALIZED FLOOD PROBLEMS. RAINFALL AMOUNTS
BETWEEN ONE AND A HALF AND TWO INCHES WILL BE COMMON...WITH LOCAL
AMOUNTS TO AROUND THREE INCHES.
WINDY CONDITIONS WILL CONTINUE ACROSS THE MID STATE THROUGHOUT THE
DAY TODAY...EVEN BEFORE THE THUNDERSTORMS ARRIVE. AS A RESULT...A
WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 700 PM THIS EVENING...FOR
SUSTAINED WINDS OF 15 TO 25 MPH...AND GUSTS AS HIGH AS 40 MPH.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY...
NO HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS EXPECTED AT THIS TIME.
