SEVERAL DAYS OF SOAKING RAINS HIT THE MID STATE EARLIER THIS WEEK.
THE FIRST ROUND OCCURRED SUNDAY AFTERNOON AND NIGHT...AND THE
SECOND ROUND STRUCK TUESDAY. ONE OF THE GREATEST TWO-DAY RAIN
TOTALS OCCURRED NEAR MONTEAGLE...WHERE A COCORAHS OBSERVER
REPORTED 5.31 INCHES. A NUMBER OF OTHER PLACES HAD BETWEEN 3 AND 4
INCHES OF RAIN...WITH MANY PLACES REPORTING BETWEEN 2 AND 3 INCHES.
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE AT OLD HICKORY RECORDED 2.11 INCHES.
THE NASHVILLE AIRPORT HAD 2.03 INCHES. CLARKSVILLE AIRPORT
RECEIVED 1.66 INCHES OF RAIN...AND THE CROSSVILLE AIRPORT RECORDED
1.63 INCHES.
