...OCTOBER WARMER THAN NORMAL...
OCTOBER 2010 WAS 1.5 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL. THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE
WAS 61.4 DEGREES. THE WARMEST TEMPERATURE 88 DEGREES ON THE 10TH AND
11TH. THE COLDEST WAS 31 DEGREES ON THE 30TH.
TOTAL RAINFALL WAS 2.49 INCHES...WHICH IS .38 INCH BELOW NORMAL.
MOST OF THE MONTH WAS DRY...BUT THE 24TH THROUGH THE 26TH WAS QUITE
WET...ESPECIALLY OVER THE SOUTH AND EAST. A FEW OF THE HIGHER RAIN
TOTALS INCLUDED 5.31 INCHES AT MONTEAGLE...3.78 INCHES AT
COALMONT...AND 3.72 INCHES AT COOKEVILLE. THERE WERE SOME SEVERE
WEATHER REPORTS AS WELL. ON THE EVENING OF THE 24TH...MANY TREES
WERE FELLED ALONG A HALF MILE PATH IN BEDFORD COUNTY. ON THE
AFTERNOON OF THE 26TH...GOLF BALL SIZED HAIL WAS REPORTED IN COFFEE
COUNTY.
IN CROSSVILLE...THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE FOR THE MONTH WAS 57.5
DEGREES...WHICH WAS 1.3 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL. THE WARMEST WAS
82 DEGREES ON THE 10TH... WHILE THE COLDEST WAS 30 ON THE 30TH.
TOTAL RAINFALL WAS 2.38 INCHES..WHICH IS .86 INCH BELOW NORMAL.
AS CLARKSVILLE...THE MONTHLY AVERAGE TEMPERATURE WAS 60 DEGREES.
THE HIGHEST WAS 89 DEGREES ON THE 10TH...WHILE THE COLDEST WAS 29
DEGREES ON THE 30TH. 1.78 INCHES OF RAINFALL WAS TABULATED.
