THE THREAT FOR MARGINALLY SEVERE HAIL AND STRONG WINDS IS EXPECTED
TO DECREASE ACROSS EAST TN AND WRN NC. RECENT RADAR REFLECTIVITY
IMAGERY INDICATES STRONG TO SEVERE STORMS EXTENDING FROM 15 NNW CHA
TO 45 NE HKY. WLY MID-LEVEL FLOW HAS PROMOTED CELL MERGERS ACROSS
THE AREA...CONGEALING INTO A BROKEN LINE OF STORMS OVER THE HIGHER
TERRAIN. THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY IS EXPECTED TO DECREASE IN VIGOR OVER
THE NEXT SEVERAL HOURS WITH THE LOSS OF SFC HEATING AND SUBSEQUENT
REDUCED INSTABILITY. HOWEVER...STORMS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING
MARGINALLY SEVERE HAIL MAY PERSIST...AS MUCAPE VALUES OF 500-1000
J/KG WILL BE PRESENT. WITH THE EXPECTED DECREASE IN INTENSITY OF
CONVECTION ACROSS THE AREA...A WATCH IS UNLIKELY.
