* AT 08AM TUESDAY THE STAGE WAS 40.6 FEET.
* FLOOD STAGE IS 46.0 FEET.
* THE RIVER WILL CONTINUE TO FALL TO NEAR 39.3 FEET BY TOMORROW MORNING.
* AT 40.0 FEET...WATER LEVELS APPROACH LOW LYING AREAS ALONG THE BANKS.
