...FORECAST FLOODING CHANGED FROM MAJOR TO RECORD SEVERITY FOR THE FOLLOWING

MILL CREEK NEAR ANTIOCH AFFECTING DAVIDSON COUNTY
.HEAVY RAINFALL IN THE MILL CREEK AND HARPETH RIVER BASINS HAS CAUSED WATER LEVELS TO RISE AND CREATE A DANGEROUS SITUATION. EXPECT WATER LEVELS TO BE NEAR
LEVELS NOT SEEN SINCE 1979 ALONG MILL CREEK ESPECAILLY NEAR ANTIOCH...WHEN THE LEVEL NEAR ANTIOCH REACHED ALMOST 24 FEET. WATER LEVELS ON THE HARPETH RIVER NEAR
KINGSTONS SPRINGS WILL CONTINUE TO RISE TO NEAR MAJOR FLOOD LEVELS BY TOMORROW MORNING.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
AVOID FLOODED AREAS ALONG THE RIVER...AND MOVE PERSONAL BELONGINGS TO HIGHER
GROUND. NEVER DRIVE THROUGH FLOODED ROADS AS THE DEPTH OF WATER MAY BE TOO GREAT
TO PASS...EVEN IN TRUCKS OR SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES. IF YOU COME ACROSS A FLOODED
ROAD...TURN AROUND DON'T DROWN.

* MINOR FLOODING IS OCCURRING AND MAJOR FLOODING IS FORECAST.
* FLOOD STAGE IS 20.0 FEET.
* THE RIVER WILL CONTINUE RISING TO NEAR 28.7 FEET BY TOMORROW MORNING. THE
RIVER WILL FALL BELOW FLOOD STAGE TUESDAY EARLY AFTERNOON.
* AT 32.0 FEET...SECONDARY ROADS ALONG THE RIVER AND PORTIONS OF HWY 70 WILL BE
IMPASSIBLE. WATER WILL APPROACH SEVERAL RESIDENCES ON HWY 70 ACROSS FROM THE
ELEMENTARY SCHOOL AND WILL REACH THE CITY PARK NEAR THE OLD BRIDGE.
