.NOW...
BETWEEN NOW AND 630 AM...YOU CAN EXPECT A LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS
...SOME STRONG...TO CROSS THE INTERSTATE 65 CORRIDOR. THE
STRONGEST STORMS WILL OCCUR FROM COLUMBIA...NORTHWARD TO NASHVILLE
AND PORTLAND. ONCE THE STORMS BEGIN...YOU CAN EXPECT AT LEAST TWO
HOURS OF MODERATE... TO OCCASIONALLY HEAVY...SHOWERS TO PERSIST.
THIS WILL PRODUCE PONDING OF WATER IN POORLY DRAINED...LOW LYING
AREAS. MOTORISTS SHOULD EXERCISE CAUTION...ESPECIALLY THOSE HEADED
OUT TO WORK AND SCHOOL IN THE NASHVILLE METRO AREA...WHERE URBAN
CONDITIONS OFTEN ENHANCE RUNOFF. SLOW DOWN...LEAVE A LITTLE EXTRA
TIME TO REACH YOUR DESTINATION...AND AVOID AREAS WHERE WATER
COVERS THE ROAD.
SOME OF THE STRONGEST STORMS MAY PRODUCE WIND GUSTS TO 40
MPH...ESPECIALLY IN AREAS BETWEEN SPRINGFIELD...WESTMORELAND...MOUNT
JULIET...MURFREESBORO...FRANKLIN...AND ASHLAND CITY. THIS INCLUDES
THE NASHVILLE METRO AREA.
RAINS WILL START TO DIMINISH IN AREAS NEAR THE TENNESSEE RIVER
AFTER 500 AM.
