THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR MIDDLE TENNESSEE.
.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

HEATING INFLUENCES OCCUR ACROSS THE MID STATE...SCATTERED
THUNDERSTORMS NORTH...TO ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ALONG THE
TENNESSEE...ALABAMA BORDER...WILL AGAIN DEVELOP ACROSS MIDDLE
TENNESSEE DURING THE AFTERNOON THROUGH EARLY EVENING HOURS.
AS HAS BEEN THE CASE IN THE PREVIOUS DAYS...SOME OF THESE
THUNDERSTORMS WILL HAVE THE POTENTIAL OF BECOMING STRONG...

THE BRIEF HEAVY RAINFALL COULD RESULT IN PONDING OF WATER ON
AREA ROADWAYS AND LOW LYING...POORLY DRAINED...AREAS.
ALSO...A FEW OF THESE THUNDERSTORMS COULD POSSIBLY REACH SEVERE
THRESHOLDS...WITH DAMAGING WINDS THE MAIN CONCERN.
AFTERNOON HEAT INDEX VALUES ARE EXPECTED TO BE BETWEEN 100 TO
104 DEGREES ACROSS LOCATIONS WEST OF THE CUMBERLAND PLATEAU
REGION. IT IS ALSO NOT OUT OF THE QUESTION THAT SOME ISOLATED

OF TIME.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY
FRIDAY WILL BE ONE OF THE HOTTEST DAYS OF THE YEAR SO FAR...WITH
EXPECTED HIGH TEMPERATURES ACROSS MOST LOCATIONS WEST OF THE
CUMBERLAND PLATEAU REGION IN THE UPPER 90S. IF DEW POINTS ARE
EXPECTED ALSO TO BE HIGH ENOUGH DURING THE AFTERNOON HOURS...
A HEAT ADVISORY WILL BE ISSUED COVERING MOST LOCATIONS WEST OF
THE CUMBERLAND PLATEAU REGION. THE DECISION TO ISSUE THIS HEAT
ADVISORY WILL PROBABLY BE MADE LATER TODAY OR TONIGHT.
OTHERWISE...MIDDLE TENNESSEE CAN STILL EXPECT TO EXPERIENCE HOT
AND HUMID WEATHER CONDITIONS THROUGH AT LEAST NEXT WEDNESDAY.
HIGH TEMPERATURES ACROSS MIDDLE TENNESSEE...EXCEPT THE CUMBERLAND
PLATEAU REGION...ARE EXPECTED TO BE PRIMARILY IN THE MID 90'S EACH
DAY. ACROSS THE WESTERN TWO THIRDS OF THE MID STATE...HEAT
INDICES WILL BE AVERAGING BETWEEN 100 TO 104 DEGREES...WITH SOME
ISOLATED SPOTS REACHING AND EVEN EXCEEDING 105 DEGREES FOR SHORT
PERIODS OF TIME.
.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
EVEN THOUGH ANY SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO BE BRIEF AND
ISOLATED, SPOTTERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO CLOSELY MONITOR WEATHER
CONDITIONS AND BE PREPARED TO CALL IN ANYTHING REACHING REPORTING
