.A STRNG COLD FRONT WILL CHANGE RAIN TO A BRIEF PERIOD OF SNOW
TONIGHT. ACCUMULATIONS UP TO 1 INCH ARE POSSIBLE AS THE
PRECIPITATION DIMINISHES. ON SUNDAY...AN UPPER LEVEL LOW PRESSURE
WILL CROSS THE REGION CAUSING SNOW SHOWERS TO OCCUR...WITH
ADDITION ACCUMULATIONS EXPECTED. BY SUNDAY EVENING...SNOW TOTALS
ARE EXPECTED TO RANGE FROM A FEW TENTHS OF AN INCH IN THE
SOUTHWEST...TO 3 INCHES FOR PARTS OF THE CUMBERLAND PLATEAU...SUCH
AS JAMESTOWN.
FRIGID CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED. TEMPERATURES WILL BE THE COLDEST
OF THE SEASON SO FAR...AND GUSTY NORTHWEST WINDS WILL DROP WIND

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NASHVILLE HAS ISSUED A WINTER
WEATHER ADVISORY FOR MOST OF MIDDLE TENNESSEE...WHICH IS IN EFFECT
FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO 6 PM CST SUNDAY.
* TIMING: RAIN WILL CHANGE TO SNOW AROUND MIDNIGHT WITH GENERALLY
LESS THAN 1 INCH ACCUMULATION EXPECTED OVERNIGHT. THERE WILL BE
A BREAK IN THE PRECIPITATION LATE SATURDAY NIGHT...BUT MORE SNOW
SHOWERS WILL RETURN ON SUNDAY ALONG WITH FRIGID AND BLUSTERY
CONDITIONS. SNOW SHOWERS WILL DIMINISH SUNDAY EVENING.+
* ACCUMULATIONS: AROUND 1 INCH FOR MUCH OF MIDDLE TENNESSEE. 1 TO
2 INCHES WILL OCCUR FOR THE HIGHLAND RIM...AND AS MUCH AS 3
INCHES FOR THE NORTH CUMBERLAND PLATEAU.
* IMPACTS: SLICK ROAD CONDITIONS WILL DEVELOP LATE SATURDAY NIGHT
AS TEMPERATURES PLUMMET INTO THE 20S. SNOW SHOWERS THROUGH THE
DAY ON SUNDAY WILL CAUSE ADDITIONAL ACCUMULATION AND POCKETS OF
HAZARDOUS TRAVEL ACROSS THE AREA.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW...SLEET...OR
FREEZING RAIN WILL CAUSE TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR
