THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A
TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF
MUCH OF NORTHERN ARKANSAS
SMALL PART OF SOUTHERN ILLINOIS
PARTS OF WESTERN KENTUCKY
PARTS OF SOUTHERN MISSOURI
PARTS OF NORTHWESTERN TENNESSEE
EFFECTIVE THIS THURSDAY NIGHT AND FRIDAY MORNING FROM 800 PM
UNTIL 300 AM CDT.
TORNADOES...HAIL TO 1.5 INCHES IN DIAMETER...THUNDERSTORM WIND
GUSTS TO 70 MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE
AREAS.
THE TORNADO WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 55 STATUTE
MILES NORTH AND SOUTH OF A LINE FROM 60 MILES WEST NORTHWEST OF
RUSSELLVILLE ARKANSAS TO 35 MILES SOUTH SOUTHEAST OF OWENSBORO

NWRN AR/SRN MO AND SPREAD EWD THRU THE NIGHT. TORNADO SUPERCELLS
WILL BE LIKELY GIVEN THE VEERING SHEAR PROFILES COUPLED WITH MLCAPES
UPWARDS TO 2500 J/KG IN THE WARM SECTOR.
AVIATION...TORNADOES AND A FEW SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WITH HAIL
