LAWRENCE COUNTY...
AT 625 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR CONTINUED TO
INDICATE A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING A TORNADO. THIS
STORM WAS LOCATED NEAR LORETTO...OR 10 MILES SOUTH OF
LAWRENCEBURG...MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 15 MPH. THIS STORM HAS A HISTORY
OF PRODUCING LARGE HAIL AND A ROTATING WALL CLOUD. AMATEUR RADIO
REPORTS OF TREES DOWN HAVE ALSO BEEN RECEIVED.
THE TORNADO WILL BE NEAR...
RURAL SOUTHERN LAWRENCE COUNTY AT 640 PM CDT
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
THE SAFEST PLACE TO BE DURING A TORNADO IS IN A BASEMENT. IF NO
BASEMENT IS AVAILABLE...SEEK SHELTER ON THE LOWEST FLOOR OF THE
BUILDING IN AN INTERIOR HALLWAY OR ROOM SUCH AS A CLOSET. IF IN
MOBILE HOMES OR VEHICLES...EVACUATE THEM AND GET INSIDE A
SUBSTANTIAL SHELTER.
