FOR SUMNER...NORTHEASTERN ROBERTSON...MACON AND WESTERN CLAY
COUNTIES...
AT 919 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR CONTINUED TO
INDICATE A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING DAMAGING
WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH. THESE STORMS WERE LOCATED ALONG A LINE
EXTENDING FROM 8 MILES NORTH OF RED BOILING SPRINGS TO 6 MILES WEST
OF WESTMORELAND...OR ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM 14 MILES NORTHEAST
OF LAFAYETTE TO 15 MILES NORTH OF GALLATIN...MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 30
MPH.
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE NEAR...
LAFAYETTE...RED BOILING SPRINGS AND WESTMORELAND BY 930 PM CDT...
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
DOPPLER RADAR HAS INDICATED SOME WEAK ROTATION WITHIN THIS STORM.
WHILE NOT IMMEDIATELY LIKELY...A TORNADO MAY STILL DEVELOP. IF A
TORNADO IS SPOTTED...ACT QUICKLY AND MOVE TO A PLACE OF SAFETY IN A
STURDY STRUCTURE...SUCH AS A BASEMENT OR SMALL INTERIOR ROOM.
A TORNADO WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT CDT FRIDAY MORNING
