BELOW NORMAL. THE HIGHEST TEMPERATURE FOR THE MONTH WAS 63 DEGREES
ON THE THIRD AND FOURTH...AND THE COLDEST WAS 5 DEGREES ON THE 16TH.
TOTAL PRECIPITATION FOR THE MONTH WAS 4.59 INCHES...WHICH IS 0.62
INCH ABOVE NORMAL. THERE WAS .4 OF AN INCH OF SNOW...WHICH IS 3 AND
A HALF INCHES BELOW NORMAL.
THE MOST SIGNIFICANT WEATHER EVENT OCCURRED ON THE 27TH AND 28TH.
EARLY ON THE 27TH AN ICE STORM CLOSED SCHOOLS OVER THE NORTHWEST AND
NORTH CENTRAL COUNTIES. AFTER THE ICE TURNED TO RAIN...MANY PLACES
IN THE SAME AREA REGISTERED 3 TO 4 INCHES OF PRECIPITATION FOR THE 2
DAY PERIOD...AND SEVERAL PLACES IN SUMNER...MONTGOMERY AND STEWART
COUNTIES TOTALED OVER 4 AND A HALF INCHES. THE RED RIVER NEAR PORT
ROYAL WAS IN MINOR FLOOD FOR A FEW DAYS.
CROSSVILLE AVERAGED 34.2 DEGREES FOR THE MONTH...WHICH IS 0.9
DEGREE BELOW NORMAL. THE WARMEST TEMPERATURE WAS 64 DEGREES ON
4TH...WHILE THE COLDEST WAS 0 ON THE 16TH. TOTAL PRECIPITATION WAS
5.79 INCHES...WHICH IS 0.64 INCH ABOVE NORMAL.
CLARKSVILLE AVERAGED 33.0 DEGREES FOR THE MONTH AND TABULATED 5.41
INCHES OF PRECIPITATION. THE WARMEST TEMPERATURE WAS 64 DEGREES ON
THE TWENTY-THIRD...AND THE COLDEST WAS 2 ON THE 16TH.
