AT 737 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR CONTINUED TO
INDICATE A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING
DESTRUCTIVE WINDS IN EXCESS OF 70 MPH. THESE STORMS WERE LOCATED
ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM 10 MILES NORTHEAST OF CLARKSVILLE TO 6
MILES NORTH OF CUMBERLAND CITY TO 11 MILES SOUTHWEST OF
DOVER...MOVING MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 30 MPH.
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE NEAR...
BIG SANDY AND CUMBERLAND CITY BY 745 PM CDT...
TENNESSEE RIDGE BY 750 PM CDT...
ERIN BY 755 PM CDT...
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM. IF YOU ARE IN ITS PATH...PREPARE
IMMEDIATELY FOR DAMAGING WINDS AND DEADLY CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING.
PEOPLE OUTSIDE SHOULD MOVE TO A SHELTER...PREFERABLY INSIDE A STRONG
BUILDING BUT AWAY FROM WINDOWS.
IN ADDITION...HEAVY DOWNPOURS ASSOCIATED WITH THESE STORMS WILL
BRIEFLY REDUCE VISIBILITIES TO LESS THAN A MILE AND CAUSE PONDING OF
WATER ON ROADS AND HIGHWAYS.
