WEDNESDAY MORNING...AS WELL AS FOR LATE WEDNESDAY NIGHT AND EARLY
THURSDAY MORNING...
A FREEZE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM CDT WEDNESDAY.
SHORTLY BEFORE MIDNIGHT...TEMPERATURES WERE ALREADY IN THE 30S
ACROSS MOST OF THE MID STATE...WITH A FEW SPOTS REPORTING
TEMPERATURES IN THE UPPER 20S. A HARD FREEZE IS LIKELY OVER
EASTERN AREAS TONIGHT...AND IS POSSIBLE OVER OTHER PARTS OF THE
MID STATE AS WELL.
A FREEZE WARNING ALSO REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 1 AM TO 9 AM CDT
THURSDAY.
A COLD CANADIAN HIGH PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL SETTLE OVER THE MID
STATE TONIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY NIGHT. WINDS WILL DROP OFF AT
NIGHT AND TEMPERATURES WILL PLUNGE INTO THE UPPER 20S TO LOWER
30S IN MANY LOCATIONS.
A FREEZE WARNING MEANS FREEZING TEMPERATURES ARE IMMINENT OR
HIGHLY LIKELY. THESE CONDITIONS WILL LIKELY KILL CROPS AND OTHER
SENSITIVE VEGETATION...AND NURSERY AND GREENHOUSE MANAGERS SHOULD
CONCLUDE ALL NECESSARY PREPARATIONS FOR PROTECTING TENDER
VEGETATION.
