.NOW...
AREAS OF SNOW WILL CONTINUE ACROSS THE MID STATE OVERNIGHT. AT 252
AM, THE HEAVIEST SNOW WAS OCCURRING EAST OF A LINE EXTENDING FROM
BYRDSTOWN TO CROSSVILLE, AND ALSO WEST OF A LINE EXTENDING FROM
LAFAYETTE, TO LEBANON, TO MURFREESBORO, TO SHELBYVILLE. ACROSS THE
REMAINING AREAS OF MIDDLE TENNESSEE ONLY LIGHT SNOW WAS OCCURRING.
SNOW WILL CONTINUE WELL INTO THE MORNING ACROSS MUCH OF MIDDLE
TENNESSEE, WITH HOURLY SNOWFALL RATES AROUND A HALF INCH COMMON.
TRAVEL IS NOT RECOMMENDED, BUT IF YOU MUST, PLEASE SLOW DOWN AND
BE ESPECIALLY CAREFUL ALONG BRIDGES AND OVERPASSES. CONTINUE TO
MONITOR NOAA WEATHER RADIO OR A LOCAL TELEVISION STATION FOR
FURTHER UPDATES. ADDITIONALLY, KEEP IN MIND THAT SNOWFALL WILL
LOWER VISIBILITIES AND EXACERBATE THE DIFFICULT AND DANGEROUS
DRIVING CONDITIONS.
