...APRIL 16TH WILL BE THE 10TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE NASHVILLE
TORNADO...
ON APRIL 16TH 1998...NASHVILLE WAS HIT BY 3 TORNADOES...INCLUDING
AN F3...THAT STRUCK THE DOWNTOWN AREA AROUND 330 PM CDT. THIS WAS
THE FIRST TORNADO TO STRIKE THE DOWNTOWN AREA OF NASHVILLE...
SINCE MARCH 14TH 1933. IRONICALLY...THE APRIL 16TH 1998 TORNADO
TOOK A SIMILAR PATH THROUGH EAST NASHVILLE...AS DID THE MARCH 14TH
1933 TORNADO. THERE WAS ONE FATALITY IN NASHVILLE WITH THE
TORNADO ON APRIL 16TH 1998. ON MARCH 14TH 1933...11 PEOPLE WERE
KILLED IN NASHVILLE...AND 4 IN LEBANON WITH SCORES INJURED.
A TOTAL OF 10 TORNADOES WERE CONFIRMED ACROSS MIDDLE TENNESSEE
ON APRIL 16TH 1998...WITH 4 FATALITIES AND 105 INJURIES.
