SHORTLY BEFORE 700 PM...SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WERE OCCURRING OVER
A LARGE PART OF NORTHERN MIDDLE TENNESSEE...INCLUDING THE NASHVILLE
METRO AREA. THE STRONGEST STORMS WERE LOCATED BETWEEN PORTLAND...
HENDERSONVILLE AND NASHVILLE...AND WERE PRODUCING RAINFALL RATES OF
1 TO 3 INCHES AN HOUR. OTHER STRONG THUNDERSTORMS...WITH HEAVY RAINS
...WERE LOCATED NEAR LEBANON...HARTSVILLE...LAFAYETTE...AND FRANKLIN.
SMALL STREAM AND URBAN FLOODING CAN BE EXPECTED...ESPECIALLY FROM
SOUTHERN SUMNER COUNTY INTO EASTERN PARTS OF DAVIDSON COUNTY...JUST
EAST OF DOWNTOWN NASHVILLE. IF YOU HAVE TO BE OUT ON THE ROAD DURING
THESE TORRENTIAL DOWNPOURS...SLOW DOWN...AND DRIVE WITH EXTRA
CAUTION.
AN URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR
SOUTHERN SUMNER COUNTY UNTIL 930 PM. A SMALL STREAM FLOOD
ADVISORY CONTINUES UNTIL 915 FOR SMITH COUNTY...ESPECIALLY FOR
AREAS ALONG PEYTON CREEK...NORTH OF CARTHAGE.
