...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH IS IN EFFECT FOR WESTERN MIDDLE
TENNESSEE THROUGH 800 AM...
THROUGH 630 AM...A LARGE AREA OF RAIN WITH SCATTERED EMBEDDED
THUNDERSTORMS WAS MOVING THROUGH THE MID STATE. SOME STORMS MAY BE
SEVERE WITH LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS. THE STRONGEST ACTIVITY WAS
LOCATED SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 40 IN WESTERN MIDDLE TENNESSEE. THE
STORMS WERE MOVING TO THE NORTHEAST AROUND 60 MPH. IN THE STRONGER
STORMS HEAVY PRECIPITATION COULD REDUCE VISIBILITIES QUICKLY TO NEAR
ZERO AND PRODUCE PONDING OF WATER ON ROADWAYS MAKING THE MORNING
DRIVING COMMUTE TO WORK HAZARDOUS.
