THE MONTH AVERAGED 71.1 DEGREES AT THE AIRPORT...WHICH IS 4 DEGREES
ABOVE NORMAL. THE WARMEST TEMPERATURE WAS 89 DEGREES ON THE 29TH AND
30TH...WITH THE COLDEST 46 DEGREES ON THE 20TH. THE TOTAL RAINFALL
WAS 3.31 INCHES...WHICH IS 1.77 INCHES BELOW NORMAL. NO MEASURABLE
RAIN FELL AT THE AIRPORT AFTER THE 16TH. THIS MAKES IT THE 7TH MONTH
IN A ROW WITH BELOW NORMAL PRECIPITATION.
THE FIRST 5 DAYS OF THE MONTH WERE QUITE RAINY. IN FACT...THE AREA
FROM AROUND SPRINGFIELD TO CROSSVILLE RECEIVED 2 TO 4 INCHES OF
RAIN... WITH HENDERSONVILLE TO GALLATIN REPORTING OVER 4 INCHES.
SOME FLOODING CAUSED PROBLEMS FOR SUMNER COUNTY RESIDENTS ON THE
FIFTH.
CROSSVILLE AVERAGED 65.7 DEGREES FOR THE MONTH...WHICH IS 2.7 DEGREES
ABOVE NORMAL. THE WARMEST TEMPERATURE WAS 85 DEGREES ON THE
FIRST...WHICH WAS A RECORD FOR THE DATE. THE COLDEST WAS 37 ON THE
19TH.. TOTAL RAINFALL WAS 4.37 INCHES ...WHICH IS 1.11 INCHES BELOW
NORMAL.
CLARKSVILLE AVERAGED 69.8 DEGREES FOR THE MONTH AND TABULATED 3.18
INCHES OF RAINFALL. THE WARMEST TEMPERATURE WAS 89 DEGREES ON THE
28TH...WHILE THE COLDEST WAS 41 DEGREES ON THE 19TH.
