A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM IN THE PLAINS WILL TRACK TOWARD ILLINOIS BY
SATURDAY MORNING. SNOWFALL AHEAD OF THE COLD FRONT WILL PRODUCE
LIGHT ACCUMULATIONS FOR AREAS NORTHWEST OF NASHVILLE LATE
TONIGHT...THEN SPREAD THROUGH THE REST OF THE MID STATE SATURDAY
MORNING. SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS AROUND ONE INCH ARE EXPECTED
ACROSS THE CENTRAL AND NORTHERN COUNTIES OF MIDDLE TENNESSEE...
WITH LESSER AMOUNTS ACROSS THE SOUTHERN COUNTIES. AS THE COLD
FRONT ADVANCES THROUGH THE MID STATE BY LATE SATURDAY AFTERNOON...
TEMPERATURES JUST AHEAD OF THE FRONT WILL CLIMB TO SLIGHTLY
ABOVE FREEZING IN ALL BUT THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS OF THE CUMBERLAND
PLATEAU...HOWEVER ANY PRECIPITATION IS EXPECTED TO REMAIN IN THE
FORM OF SNOW.
AGAIN...TOTAL SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS SATURDAY AROUND ONE INCH ARE
POSSIBLE IN AREAS ALONG AND NORTH OF INTERSTATE 40...WITH UP TO
TWO INCHES POSSIBLE IN THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS OF THE CUMBERLAND
PLATEAU REGION SATURDAY NIGHT. AMOUNTS AROUND ONE INCH OR LESS ARE
POSSIBLE FOR LOCATIONS SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 40...WITH THE LEAST
AMOUNTS OCCURRING NEAR THE ALABAMA BORDER.
