HALF TEMPERATURE-WISE...WITH THE FIRST HALF AN INCREDIBLY 14 DEGREES
ABOVE NORMAL. THIS CONTINUED A STRING OF ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES
FROM DECEMBER. IN FACT...FROM DECEMBER 10TH THROUGH JANUARY 15TH...A
SPELL OF 37 CONSECUTIVE DAYS...THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE WAS NEVER
BELOW NORMAL. BUT THE SECOND HALF OF JANUARY WAS A COMPLETE
TURN-AROUND...WITH THE LAST 4 DAYS AVERAGING 12 DEGREES BELOW
NORMAL. THE COLDEST TEMPERATURE WAS 11 DEGREES ON THE 29TH...WHILE
THE WARMEST WAS 71 DEGREES ON THE 13TH. THERE WAS 3.32 INCHES OF
PRECIPITATION FOR THE MONTH...WHICH IS .65 INCH BELOW NORMAL. THERE
WAS A TRACE OF SNOW...WHICH IS 4 INCHES BELOW NORMAL.
CROSSVILLE AVERAGED 38.2 DEGREES FOR THE MONTH...WHICH IS 3.1 DEGREES
ABOVE NORMAL. THE WARMEST TEMPERATURE WAS 66 DEGREES ON THE
13TH...WHILE THE COLDEST WAS 7 DEGREES ON THE 29TH. TOTAL
PRECIPITATION WAS 3.01 INCHES ...WHICH IS 2.14 INCHES BELOW NORMAL.
