THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF MIDDLE TENNESSEE.
DENSE FOG ADVISORY FOR MOST OF MIDDLE TENNESSEE UNTIL 900 AM TODAY.
.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT
A DENSE FOG ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 900 AM FOR ALL OF MIDDLE
TENNESSEE EXCEPT THE CLARKSVILLE, DOVER, WAVERLY AREAS. WIDESPREAD
DENSE FOG WILL REDUCE VISIBILITIES TO AS LOW AS ONE QUARTER MILE IN
MANY AREAS, WHICH WILL CREATE DANGEROUS DRIVING CONDITIONS THROUGH
RUSH HOUR.
A STATIONARY FRONT WILL PRODUCE A CHANCE FOR THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS
SOUTHERN AND EASTERN MIDDLE TENNESSEE TODAY. A FEW THUNDERSTORMS
COULD BE STRONG...WITH HEAVY DOWNPOURS...SMALL HAIL...AND GUSTY
WINDS.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY
FREEZE OUTLOOK FOR MIDDLE TENNESSEE THURSDAY NIGHT AND FRIDAY NIGHT.
A COLD CANADIAN HIGH PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL BUILD ACROSS MIDDLE
TENNESSEE LATE THIS WEEK AND BRING THE COLDEST AIR OF THE SEASON SO
FAR...ALONG WITH THE LIKELIHOOD OF FREEZING TEMPERATURES ACROSS ALL
OF MIDDLE TENNESSEE. SOME SPOTS WILL PROBABLY SEE FREEZING
TEMPERATURES AS EARLY AS TONIGHT. HOWEVER...A WIDESPREAD HARD FREEZE
IS EXPECTED THURSDAY NIGHT...WITH TEMPERATURES DROPPING INTO THE MID
AND UPPER 20S AT MOST LOCATIONS. SOME LOW LYING AREAS...AS WELL AS
THE CUMBERLAND PLATEAU...COULD SEE READINGS DIP BRIEFLY INTO THE
LOWER 20S BY SUNRISE FRIDAY. ANOTHER ROUND OF FREEZING TEMPERATURES
WILL ALSO OCCUR FRIDAY NIGHT AND EARLY SATURDAY MORNING...WARMER
TEMPERATURES ARE FORECAST TO RETURN OVER THE WEEKEND.
NURSERY MANAGERS...AS WELL AS ANY OTHERS WITH SENSITIVE OUTDOOR
PLANTS...SHOULD MAKE PREPARATIONS TO PROTECT TENDER VEGETATION.
