...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 300 PM CDT
FOR GILES AND SOUTHWESTERN MAURY COUNTIES...
AT 235 PM CDT...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS REPORTED CAPABLE OF
PRODUCING NICKEL SIZE HAIL...AND DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH.
THIS STORM WAS LOCATED 7 MILES NORTHWEST OF LYNNVILLE...OR ABOUT 11
MILES SOUTH OF COLUMBIA...MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 15 MPH. THE STORM
IN SOUTHERN MAURY COUNTY HAS WEAKENED BUT COULD INTENSIFY AS IT
REMAINS IN A FAVORABLE ENVIRONMENT.
OTHER LOCATIONS IN THE WARNING INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
PULASKI...AND ALONG HIGHWAY 31 BETWEEN PULASKI AND LYNNVILLE.
IN ADDITION TO LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS...CONTINUOUS CLOUD TO
GROUND LIGHTNING IS OCCURRING WITH THIS STORM. MOVE INDOORS
IMMEDIATELY! LIGHTNING IS ONE OF NATURES NUMBER ONE KILLERS.
REMEMBER...IF YOU CAN HEAR THUNDER...YOU ARE CLOSE ENOUGH TO BE
STRUCK BY LIGHTNING.
