THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NASHVILLE HAS ISSUED A
* SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR...
GILES COUNTY IN TENNESSEE
THIS INCLUDES THE CITY OF PULASKI
SOUTHERN MAURY COUNTY IN TENNESSEE
* UNTIL 300 PM CDT
* AT 200 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
A COUPLE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING NICKEL SIZE
HAIL...AND DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH. ONE STORM WAS
LOCATED NEAR MOUNT PLEASANT...OR ABOUT 11 MILES SOUTHWEST OF
COLUMBIA...AND MOVING EAST AT 15 MPH. THE OTHER STORM WAS INTO
NORTHWEST GILES COUNTY...10 MILES NORTHWEST OF PULASKI...MOVING
SOUTHEAST AT 15 MPH.
* THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WILL MOVE THROUGH MOSTLY RURAL AREAS.
IN ADDITION TO LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS...CONTINUOUS CLOUD TO
GROUND LIGHTNING IS OCCURRING WITH THIS STORM. MOVE INDOORS
IMMEDIATELY! LIGHTNING IS ONE OF NATURES NUMBER ONE KILLERS.
REMEMBER...IF YOU CAN HEAR THUNDER...YOU ARE CLOSE ENOUGH TO BE
STRUCK BY LIGHTNING.
