...A RIVER FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR PORTIONS OF THE DUCK RIVER...
AFFECTING THESE COUNTIES IN MIDDLE TENNESSEE: HICKMAN...MAURY.
DUCK RIVER AT COLUMBIA...
* FLOOD STAGE: 32 FEET.
* LATEST STAGE: 32.8 FEET AND FALLING AT NOON.
* RIVER FORECAST: DROP TO 28 FEET THIS EVENING.
* RIVER CRESTED: 35.5 YESTERDAY EVENING.
DUCK RIVER AT CENTERVILLE...
* FLOOD STAGE: 22 FEET.
* LATEST STAGE: 25.6 FEET AND STEADY AT 1 PM.
* RIVER FORECAST: THE RIVER IS NEAR CREST AND WILL BEGIN TO FALL
THIS EVENING.
* FLOOD CATEGORY: THESE LEVELS ARE PRODUCING MODERATE FLOODING.
FLOOD WATERS HAVE REACHED THE SOCCER FIELDS AND BOTTOMLAND ALONG THE
RIVER. HICKMAN SPRINGS ROAD, DEFEATED CREEK ROAD, AND LEATHERWOOD ROAD WILL BE
IMPASSABLE. DEFEATED CREEK WILL FLOOD DUE TO BACKWATER FROM THE DUCK RIVER.
PERSONS LIVING ALONG THE DUCK RIVER AND THOSE WITH RIVER INTERESTS SHOULD
CONTINUE TO MONITOR WATER LEVELS. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATER.
IF YOU APPROACH A WATER COVERED ROAD, TURN AROUND, DON'T DROWN.
