A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL GAIN STRENGTH AND APPROACH THE AREA FROM THE
WEST TODAY. MOISTURE WILL INCREASE DRAMATICALLY TONIGHT AND AS LOW
LEVEL FORCING INCREASES...RAIN AND THUNDERSTORMS CAN BE EXPECTED.
SOME STORMS COULD BECOME STRONG TONIGHT AND PRODUCE GUSTY WINDS...
PARTICULARLY ACROSS SOUTHERN MIDDLE TN. RAINFALL AMOUNTS SHOULD
AVERAGE BETWEEN 1/2 INCH AND 1 INCH WITH LOCALLY HEAVIER AMOUNTS
POSSIBLE.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY
THE STRONG COLD FRONT IS EXPECTED TO MOVE INTO MIDDLE TENNESSEE ON
TUESDAY. THUNDERSTORMS ARE LIKELY INTO TUESDAY...WITH THE POTENTIAL
FOR HEAVY RAINFALL. RAIN WILL CHANGE TO SNOW TUESDAY NIGHT. GROUND
TEMPERATURES WILL LIKELY BE TOO WARM TO SUPPORT MUCH IN THE WAY
OF SNOW ACCUMULATIONS. BUT...SNOW SHOWERS COULD PRODUCE SOME LIGHT
ACCUMULATIONS LATE TUESDAY NIGHT AND WEDNESDAY MORNING...ESPECIALLY
IN THE CUMBERLAND PLATEAU REGION.
