MIDDLE TENNESSEE...

...A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON TODAY FOR
GILES...LAWRENCE AND WAYNE COUNTIES IN SOUTHWEST MIDDLE TENNESSEE...

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF MIDDLE TENNESSEE.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

AN UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE WILL BE MOVING EAST ACROSS THE AREA
THIS MORNING. MOST AREAS IN THE MID STATE STARTED WITH A LIGHT SLEET
AND SPRINKLE MIXTURE AND AS TEMPERATURES LOWERED CHANGED TO A
SLEET SNOW MIXTURE.  EARLIER THIS MORNING STARTING IN THE NORTHWEST
COUNTIES WHEN TEMPERATURES DROPPED BELOW FREEZING THE PRECIPITATION
MIXTURE CHANGED TO SNOW.  BEFORE THE SNOW TAPERS OFF THIS AFTERNOON
...1 TO 3 INCHES ACCUMULATION EXPECTED IN THE NORTHERN COUNTIES WITH
1 TO 2 INCHES IN THE CENTRAL COUNTIES AND UP TO 1 INCH ACCUMULATIONS
IN THE SOUTHERN COUNTIES.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY

SUNDAY NIGHT AND MONDAY ANOTHER WEATHER SYSTEM CAN BE EXPECTED TO
SPREAD A WINTRY MIX OF PRECIPITATION. HOWEVER...AT THIS TIME IT
APPEARS THAT PRECIPITATION AMOUNTS WILL BE LIGHT.

DUE TO THE WINTER WEATHER...SPOTTERS AND EMERGENCY MANAGERS ARE ASKED
TO RELAY REPORTS OF SNOWFALL OR SLEET TO THE NATIONAL WEATHER OFFICE
