COLDER AIR CONTINUED TO MOVE INTO THE REGION LATE THIS AFTERNOON.
HIGH PRESSURE LOCATED WEST OF THE TENNESSEE RIVER WILL GRADUALLY
MOVE EAST INTO MIDDLE TENNESSEE OVERNIGHT...SETTING THE STAGE FOR
CLEARING SKIES AND WINDS BECOMING LIGHT BY LATE TONIGHT.
PATCHY FROST CAN BE EXPECTED IN THE WEST AND CENTRAL PARTS OF THE
MID STATE...WHILE AREAS OF FROST WILL BE LIKELY OVER THE
CUMBERLAND PLATEAU TOWARD DAYBREAK. IN LOWER LYING AREAS...
TEMPERATURES OVERNIGHT WILL DROP TO AS LOW AS THE MIDDLE 30S WEST
AND CENTRAL PORTIONS...TO THE LOWER 30S OVER THE CUMBERLAND
PLATEAU.
TO PREVENT ANY POSSIBLE DAMAGE TO SENSITIVE PLANTS OVERNIGHT...IT
WOULD BE WISE TO BRING POTTED PLANTS INSIDE. PLANTS THAT CANNOT
BE BROUGHT INDOORS CAN BE COVERED WITH BLANKETS OR NEWSPAPERS. THE
FROST SHOULD BE RATHER BRIEF...PERHAPS A COUPLE OF HOURS AT MOST.
ON WEDNESDAY...HIGH TEMPERATURES WILL RANGE FROM THE LOWER 60S WEST
TO THE UPPER 50S EAST UNDER MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES.
