AT 254 PM, DOPPLER RADAR SHOWED A LINE OF STRONG SHOWERS WITH
EMBEDDED THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDING FROM RED BOILING SPRINGS, TO
WATERTOWN, TO READYVILLE, TO NORMANDY. INDIVIDUAL CELLS ARE MOVING
TOWARD THE NORTHEAST AROUND 40 MILES AN HOUR, ALTHOUGH THE LINE
ITSELF IS MOVING VERY SLOWLY EASTWARD. OUT AHEAD OF THE CELLS, LOOK
FOR SOUTH WINDS AT 20 TO 30 MILES AN HOUR, WITH GUSTS AS HIGH AS 50
TO 60 MILES AN HOUR POSSIBLE. A WIDE BAND OF SHOWERS HAS DEVELOPED
BEHIND THIS INITIAL LINE OF CONVECTION. TOTAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OVER
AN INCH WILL BE COMMON. WINDS IN AND BEHIND THE RAIN WILL BE
CONSIDERABLY LESS, WITH A SIGNIFICANT TEMPERATURE DROP AFTER THE RAIN
PASSES YOUR AREA.
